Writing a blog post is a critical task. I am writing this post to share the best possible ways to write a quick and easy blog post.
Did you know that there are 75,63,681 blog posts published every day? It means there would be approximately 10,505 posts per minute in the world.
People keep writing and sharing their best knowledge and experience with everyone.
Sharing your knowledge and your thoughts is easy but how you choose your words is difficult.
In this post, I will help you with how to write a blog post simply and effectively, so that everyone will love it.
Let’s see what is deep down in the post.
1. Audience
Firstly you have to define your audience, and whom you want to target.
Suppose I am selling baby diapers, then my targeted audience would be people who already have babies below age 7 or people who are planning to have babies.
Your blog is always depending upon your core niche which impacts positive or negative on the audience.
2. Research
While doing research, you should keep a ‘hit list of articles. It means if I want to write an article about “How to do social media marketing?”.
Then I will put this long-tailed keyword on Google and see which websites are ranking on top of the Search Engine Result Page (SERP) and what not.
After doing some SERP stuff, I will go for Idea Research or Keyword Research. For that matter, I will use my free tool, which is WTools.
This is the most simple tool for Keyword Research or finding top-line ideas that are people searching for.
You can use the following top #11 tools to do research for your blog post research:
1. Google Trends
2. Google Keyword Planner
3. Google Scholar
4. For a change you can use Google Search Suggestions. When you search for a particular keyword, Google suggests you some similar keywords.
5. Quora
6. UberSuggest
7. Reddit
8. Amazon Website
9. Buzzsumo
10. H-Supertool
11. Exploding Topics
3. Headings
Start with your post title. Start your headings with proven or positive phrases. For example – Best, Free, New, Proven, Easy, Secret, More, The, Yes… and so on.
Make sure that your title uses parentheses & numbers. For example – Proven #7 tactics to write a perfect blog (2022).
Pssst…
Here are the top 5 free tools for your headlines:
1. ContentRow
2. SEOPresser
3. Title Generator
4. Portent
5. Tweak Your Biz
4. Introduction
I would suggest that you should write your introduction in three simple steps:
1. Preview
2. Testimonials
3. Transition
In the Preview Section, write exactly what to expect.
In the second section, that is, Testimonials, you can give all the valid proofs of (i) physical results (ii) years of experience (iii) number of clients, and (iv) and the last one is credentials or statistics.
The final section of Transition is the key section which pushes your reader to keep reading.
To sum up, remember, you have to develop a connection with the reader with the help of your specific keywords or keynotes and hook them with bold statements to keep reading.
5. Outline
Create an outline for your content. If you have a large piece of content, then divide it into shorter pieces.
By doing this you can easily create an outline for your blog post. Creating an outline means writing about the key point, and subkey points. Do you remember, in school, we learnt English Grammer for Wh-Questions?
Wh-questions begin with what, when, where, who, whom, which, whose, why and how. We use them to ask for information.
You just need to ask the questions to create your post outline.
6. Paragraphs
I asked myself how long the paragraphs should be. Because I don’t like to read lengthy paragraphs and find what I want.
Instead, I go for shorter paragraphs to find my answers.
I observed a few things about keeping paragraphs short, that I am going to share with you guys Now!
(i) Short paragraphs hook the reader and help him or her to keep reading.
(ii) the short paragraphs create the melodramatic or theatrical effect.
(iii) Short paragraphs are perfect for reading on screen.
Just remember guys, keep your paragraphs short!
7. Keywords
As previously told you can use Google Trends, Google Keyword Planner, and Wtools to find the best keywords as per your niche.
Use your performance keywords at least 6 times in your blog post with different references.
8. Write A Post!
While writing a post you have headings & subheadings.
For example – If you are writing a post on Email Marketing Use, then your headings should be “Top 7 Email Marketing tools that you can afford to avoid”.
So, under this title, you can explain the subheadings like (i) What is Email Marketing? (ii) How email marketing can impact your digital marketing journey, and so on.
You must use at least 4 pictures, infographics, screenshots, and charts related to your post.
Do not copy other images. If you are not able to create your media then you must give credit to the original author of that media.
You can use any simple, readable font for your writing. Just keep in mind that font size should be 16 to 21 px.
9. Conclusion
The conclusion is the summary of all your blog posts. Highlight the key points. It is just like an elevator speech. It’s short but important.
Just keep 3 things in mind:
(i) Ask a valid question about your article.
(ii) You can ask a specific question if you want to.
(iii) CTA, that is, Call To Action
– Share this post on social media
– Sign Up for a newsletter
– Subscribe to the YouTube Channel
